Wat Buddhapadipa and The Young Buddhist Group in the UK have got together to organise a traditional Thai celebration of New Year at the famous temple based in Wimbledon, London.

Programme:

09:00am - Gathering in the basement of the Main Temple.
09:30am - Lighting of candles and incense by the chairman, followed by chanting, taking the five precepts and meditation.
10:00am - Chanting "Jayamangala Gatha" by Venerable monks. Preparing food of Takbat by the Buddhist devotees and followed by collecting of alms by Venerable monks on the main road of the temple. 
11:00am - Lunch for Venerable monks.
12:00pm - Lunch for the congregation and friends.

All welcome, offerings of non-perishable foods will be accepted as offerings to the monks and pre-prepared trays will be available to buy in the vincinity of the temple. All proceeds go to the temple fund.
